Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for planning, overseeing and leading technology projects from inception through to completion. This is a senior role and requires interaction with a range of internal and external stakeholders including but not limited to customers and vendors, most often managing several moving project parts simultaneously. This position will need to be knowledgeable and conversational related to technology topics in and around cloud hosting, network managed services, local and wide area networking, and cyber-security.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading project planning sessions
  • Coordinating staff and internal resources
  • Managing project progress and adapt work as required
  • Ensuring projects meet deadlines
  • Managing relationships with customers and stakeholders
  • Designing and signing off on statements of work
  • Overseeing all incoming and outgoing project documentation
  • Designing and delivering Communication Plans and Status Reporting
  • Designing risk mitigation plan
  • Conducting project review and creating detailed reports for executive management
  • Optimizing and improving processes and the overall approach where necessary
  • Securing growth opportunities and initiating new projects
  • Managing large and diverse teams

Technical Requirements:

    • Strong familiarity with a range of technologies and the ability to “see across” technologies to identify higher level or up/downstream impacts
    • Demonstrated ability to manage a team through the troubleshooting process to reproduce errors/issues bringing the right team resources to bear throughout
    • Demonstrated ability to resolve issues with partial information
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and a talent for identifying creative solutions
    • Strong technical aptitude to grasp software tools and other technologies.
    • Fast learner with an ease for communicating via email, phone or in person and ability to multi-task effectively

Education & Experience:

  • 5 plus years of experience delivering and managing technology projects
  • Strong experience as a technology professional either in IT operations or service delivery
  • Significant experience using project management software (MS Project, SmartSheet, etc)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional and patient approach
  • Experience with business process design/redesign a plux
  • PMP certification is preferred but not required
